@Adams11 Actually you do download on Covers.to When you see the cover filling in on your monitor you are downloading it. Right clicking on the picture allows you to save it. If you didn't download it you wouldn't have it. Dave
Forkndave is right. If you have hi speed internet, then you wouldn't notice it. But I have dial-up and those 3-4 mb covers takes over 5 mins to dl. I've tried the other free sites, but the ease of covers.to puts the others to shame. Even their resolution is small, because it only takes me about a minute to dl disc covers from them.
cdcovers.com keeps coming up error, won't let me search, or look in the directory. What else is there?

Damn....this is pissing me off. No word yet on what's going on ? I've got some covers I need to download(Don't want to pay) also trying to hold off on having to use ......cdcovers.cc
yes, most certainly down for good. I found it very strange that there is no single bit of information on internet that gives you a hint on why it may have been closed.
you would think that a one time fee of less than 20 bucks would appeal to people. I think that the money you are saving by purchasing the DVD (again) and getting the hi-rez scan or custom covers would be sufficientto cover the cost. It makes me laugh when people say they don't want to pay. They will pay for high speed internet but when it comes to software that is another thing. Loosen up the purse strings a bit guys. For me 20 bucks is worth avoiding the aggravation of not being able to find a site or a cover. I only use the sites now when a cover is rare, and usually if I can't find it on Cover Searcher Pro then the only place it can be found is on cdcovers.cc Which is fine for a cover until something else rears it's head.
another site with covers that you have to pay is http://www.r1db.com How it works is you buy credit - 1 credit = 1 download. You buy credit through Paypal. $8 - 50 credits or $0.16 per cover $15 - 100 credits or $0.15 per cover $20 - 200 credits or $0.10 per cover $40 - 500 credits or $0.08 per cover and a limited time special $28 - 400 credits or $0.07 per cover. You can also earn credits by starting or posting messages in their forums. You can also get credit by uploading covers. Only down I can see to the site is no labels, but they do have a lot of creative artists on this site.
I wonder if they would refund your money or credits.. if all of a sudden they decided to pack shop and come back as lets_start_over_as_another_company_again.com ?? The almighty perpetual cash cow scheme. Regards,
I totally understand your concern, but for the custom covers I have downloaded, it is worth the $$$. It's not like they are charging that much money.
actually the 8 pounds sterling I paid whisch is about 16 US or 20 bucks CDN I paid has never cost me more than that. I simply get the new updates for free as the program advances. A one time fee like I paid for DVD Profiler. I think it's well worth it and my insurance company loved that Profiler had a link where they could view my collection and see after we were burglarized exactly what DVDs and how many I was missing. The top DVD programs I use are: 1. DVD Profiler (DVD Listing Program) 2. DVD Cover Searcher Pro (Cover Database and Printing Program) 3. ACDSee 7 (Cover Printing and Viewing, File Manager) 4. Clone DVD2 w/Any DVD (Backups especially handy with kids or intoxicated people. 5. Nero for creating my own DVDs and for data storage. I use these programs all the time and the price I think was well worth what I paid. I know there are pirated versions for some of these but the price is not that high and it helps them keep making the programs that kick butt. I am currently at over 1300 movies and climbing. I usually add between 6-20 per month depending on the choices. My DVD list can be viewed here: http://www.intervocative.com/dvdcollection.aspx/milfhunter_bc
I still can't get on covers.to either. With reference to cdcovers.cc, if you're unhappy with the quality of the covers hosted by the site, you can always go in the request forums and ask for whatever you want in there. Some kind soul will email you your covers, which are usually of a much better quality than can be hosted by the site - typically twice as good or more.
