Anyone else having problems w/....... covers.to ?

Well its down again.

 

Well its back up for now.

 

Hasn't been down for me at all though I have noticed that there are not as many original disk images available as there was before ..... has anyone else noticed this?

 

It's hard for people to upload newer covers to them because THEY ARE ALWAYS DOWN, LOL

The past month or so has been a joke over there. I downloaded a couple covers monday a.m. After that,down till yesterday. It didn't even take 5 mins to search the last 3 days of the latest uploaded covers were very few.......

I've checked out other sites,and they basically suck.They want money before you can sign up,-it says free,but they still want money to download it, or they say free,but you have to answer them in a post to get your cover.

 

LOL Saugmon ;-) You are right, it's pretty hard for people to upload covers on their site if they are constantly down! Like most people, I upload covers when they are up and running, but when they are down, I keep them for awhile on my computer and most of the time I forget to upload them when they're back. Oh well... can't expect for much when it's free.

 

With all their "downtime",it's quicker just to look at all the newest covers downloaded instead of searching for individual titles.

Monday,I looked at several days worth of new covers for dvd movies. Last night,only took a couple mins just to look at the 15 or so covers downloaded since monday-mostly foreign.

 

I understand that ..... I have been able to find the covers that I needed, it is the disk images that I have noticed a sharp drop in availibility. Not just on covers.box but also on covers.cc and custom cd lables though I hardly use that one very much. I never really noticed how much covers.box is down as they have been up most of the times that I have gone there, but then again I ahve been to busy to do much with my movies in the last 1/2 year ..... oh well we'll see how it goes from here.

 

If only www.myotherhalf.com went down as often..LOL

 

Ah ok you meant less disk images, haven't noticed that because I rarely need them for myself. But like we mentionned, this site is constantly down. It hasn't been down for a little while, BUT I've been trying to upload covers for the past few days and it tells me that I need to be logged in. I log in, everything looks ok but when I attempt once more to upload my cover, it gives me the same message that I need to login. They let you view the covers, but you can't add any for the moment. Anyways, not for me that is. So because they're often down and now, for some reason, you can't add new covers, it would make good sense that they have less choices. Has anyone else have problems uploading their covers at cover.box lately?

 

I've had the same problem trying to upload covers to them. If everyone has this problem it's no wonder they don't have new covers.

It's as though CDCovers.cc pick and choose, so go ahead and DL but don't waste your time trying to UL to them. I have uploaded some game and program covers and did it fine. But none of my DVD covers were accepted. I followed guidelines to the letter and still nothing. I'll DL from CDCovers.cc, but that's it. If I make a custom cover of my own, I will keep it or share it elsewhere, but not CDCovers.cc. I've even emailed them about it and they never replied.

 

that might explain it ..... for now this site is not too bad if I can't find what I am looking for at covers.to

Both of these sites have the many artists who make custom covers and retail scans are original quality not screen door. If you are used to quality of covers*cc & covers*box you will be amazed at the difference in the quality of these sites.

i strongly recommend freecovers.net and go gold to get the orginal cover size.

 

Just used cdcovers.cc this morning 6/01/07 had no problem .I downloaded The Queen. Now I've been trying for about an hour and it states that I may have fire wall blocking the site. The only thing that has change on my computer since this morning is an upgrade of a newer version of Firefox which I have attach cdcovers.cc. Any thought's?
