Anyone found a real copy or rip of operation flashpoint 2 yet?

huh? the console launch was on the 6th. all it takes is an actual rip of the game that someone purchased. My torrents are just about done (after a day and a half) but i know that they wont pass abgx's verification until someone rips it and abgx updates there database

 

No. The release floating around on the web, although region free, is a PAL verison. And the PAL version releases the 9th.

 

So you guys are saying that it's a good rip. Does this mean I won't necessarily be banned for playing it unverified? I don't really understand the whole abgx process.

 

In other words is it really that risky? If someone uploaded it to a torrent site they had to rip it off a disc.. And the abgx people just rip it off a disc. What's the big deal?

doesnt neccessarily have to be ripped from a disk...

im about to burn mine now, agbx will not verify the iso, because it is not in the database yet, so no matter where you get it from, abgx will not verify it because they dont have any of the files from this game yet.

im not going to go online with my copy, in fact im just going to unplug my ethernet cable from my xbox 360 and then as soon as i get a verified copy im going to burn it again.

if you want to know how agbx works google is your best start point, its actually not that tough

Yeah released Oct 6th in stores here in US.

Im using a Region Free copy, dont see how its going to be a problem.

 

Alright, let me spell it out a little slower.

- Retail release in US = Oct. 6th
- Retail release in UK = Oct. 9th

Got me so far... US is the 6th and UK is the 9th.

- US ripped retail copy will be NTSC
- UK ripped retail copy will be PAL

So a US disc is NTSC and a UK disc is PAL.


Now, a little slower I'll repeat my self.



The release floating around the web is PAL.


The PAL retail release in the UK is not until the 9th.


ABGX does not verify a release until its retail release.


So that means that a retail release for the PAL version would not be in the abgx database until the 9th.

Looks like it's verified with abgx now, region free. Still has that "Unofficial DB Name" thing though.

 

hmmm, since it's in the database now, that must be from an NTSC RF copy right? (since pal doesnt release till friday) im wondering if autofixing my PAL RF with this will throw a flag? there is an NTSC RF floating around but its been nuked. any thoughts since i've not seen a situation quite like this?

edit: just ran pal iso through abgx without autofix, and xex crc and media id match whats in the database. im assuming from this the PAL and NTSC RF use the same info?
