im trying to determine which of the 2 processors is better. the amd ADA6000IAA6CZ or the ADV6000IAA5DO. here are links to the specs.... ADA6000IAA6CZ: http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K8/AMD-Athlon 64 X2 6000+ - ADA6000IAA6CZ (ADA6000CZBOX).html ADV6000IAA5DO: http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K8/AMD-Athlon 64 X2 6000+ - ADV6000IAA5DO (ADV6000DOBOX).html i just cant tell if 3100mhz with 2 x 512kb L2 cache is better or worse than 3000mhz with 2 x 1mb L2 cache. or if theres no significant difference. one running hotter than the other is not really a problem, im planning on getting a high end cooler anyway. im not very good with knowing what makes a processor fast, but i know other components pretty well. any help would be appreciated.
Can't say that I have any direct knowledge on such minute differences. But it seems to me that such a small difference can hardly matter in the real world. Will you be able to see it? Probably be happy with either. IMO.
The ADV6000IAA5DO is not as good at stock speeds, but it is a smaller micron production process, so overclocking should be better.
