im trying to determine which of the 2 processors is better. the amd ADA6000IAA6CZ or the ADV6000IAA5DO. here are links to the specs....

    ADA6000IAA6CZ: http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K8/AMD-Athlon 64 X2 6000+ - ADA6000IAA6CZ (ADA6000CZBOX).html

    ADV6000IAA5DO: http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K8/AMD-Athlon 64 X2 6000+ - ADV6000IAA5DO (ADV6000DOBOX).html

i just cant tell if 3100mhz with 2 x 512kb L2 cache is better or worse than 3000mhz with 2 x 1mb L2 cache. or if theres no significant difference. one running hotter than the other is not really a problem, im planning on getting a high end cooler anyway. im not very good with knowing what makes a processor fast, but i know other components pretty well. any help would be appreciated.

Can't say that I have any direct knowledge on such minute differences. But it seems to me that such a small difference can hardly matter in the real world. Will you be able to see it? Probably be happy with either. IMO.

the 3000mhz with 2 x 1mb L2 cache cpu would probably be better because of the cache.

The ADV6000IAA5DO is not as good at stock speeds, but it is a smaller micron production process, so overclocking should be better.
