Cant seem to locate any drivers for it at all. Gainward site only have the drivers for 8400 GS model. Any help is always appreciated Thanks
Tried them but millions of artifacts flooded the screen.. seems gainward want to forget this card for some reason
Sure that's not a faulty card then? Try various different reference drivers new and old, if all of them artifact it's the hardware at fault...
i was thinking that too but unless the card was broken at manufacturer then it should be fine.. Card was sealed in antistatic bag and hasnt been opened. The Cd and original box was lost. Gainward say they dont supply replacement CD's or Graphics card drivers before 2008 anymore due to "Focused regulations" She pointed me to ebay but no luck either.
see if i can get another one... not worth alot but if you have something lying about might as well get some use out of it. new heatsink and paste. if it dont work.. ill ebay it or bin it.. what ever is worth while
I doubt that re-applying the heatsink and paste will resolve this problem. I agree with consensus that the board is defective. If you are really cuurious to see if this is a thermal issue, you can take a can of "freeze spray" or compressed air might do it) and spray the video chip when the artifacts start occurring. If they go away, you have your answer.
