Anyone have an idea of why VIA PCI sata freezes?

I know everyone has different experiences mines have mostly been outside of jungle flasher which is the most irritating circumstances I've ever come across. I mean just a week ago I thought I had the problem sloved by updating the drivers but it just turned out to be a temporary fix.

I wish I had the money to just go out and buy a new computer with a SATA on it. I might just have to sacrifice and do so if I could do that on a budget of $200-250 would be nice.

I have two computers both with the VIA chipsets and both are giving the same exact problem and its making no sense and it doesn't seem like anyone can make sense of it.

When it comes to bios a lot of things are foriegn. I think that the bios is the key but honestly I don't know where to look.

I tried to look on the forum on via website and there was talk about getting the bios on the card to read in the bios on the chip but that seems beyond my knowledge of computers.

I even had a small bit of discovery when I chose an option to let the bios do the plug and play instead of the OS it was a like a 10 second victory because before it would just freeze when I turned it on.

I've devouted countless hours to finding some kind of solution this sucks. fin
