I'm using the latest versions of DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter I know my drive is working fine because I am able to back up any other DVD.

The disc is clean and not scratched so there is something going on.

with DVD Shrink it stops responding as soon as I open disc

with DVD decrypter I get this error [IMG]

    Anyone else having these problems?

XXX State of The Union has the Sony ARccOS protection. Anydvd should work, you can try the 21 day trial at www.slysoft.com and also DVDFab Decrypter should work (www.dvdidle.com/free.htm).
To use Anydvd, you would download, install and then just click on it let it run in the background when you are encoding with DVD shrink.
To use DVDFab Decrypter just rip to you HD and then in DVD Shrink click the re-author icon and find where you ripped it too then drag it to the "DVD Structure."

Forgot one thing DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink won't get anymore updates so they cannot bypass the lastest protections.

Myself I used DVD decrypter to rip just the movie. But nero wouldn't burn without .bup file. So used IFO Edit to create new .ifo and .bup files. After that movie burned fine.BTW after using DVDfab to rip the first time DVD Shrink couldn't read the .vob files.
