Ive got a dvd of my friends wedding and it wont play on 99% of dvd players. My pc wont even recognise it. its a standard dvd-r

I opened it with CDex and its showing up as a data track but wont let me do anything with it.

Im assuming ill need to extract it/convert it somehow.

    Anyone know anything about this?

Isn't Cdex a CD ripper? (last updated in 06)

1st you got to find a computer that will recogonize the disk and it must have a burner.

Try to rip the DVD with DVD Shrink or DVDFab HD Decrypter (Free) to The Hard Drive. Then create an ISO file, then Burn that With Imgburn.
This is may not fix your Problem but it will get you a Second copy of the Wedding.
There are lots of Guides that will help you.

First you need to find out the format of the video. If it was recorded from a digital camcorder it's probably DV or mini DV format. Is it US or European format?

You need to update your codecs to play this video on your PC.
Then you need to convert that file to MPEG2 whichs works on all DVD players.
