Hi, my gamecube's power will not stay on when the power button is depressed. Do you think it is something I can fix easiy myself? I was quoted a price of 55$ to fix, but I can buy a new one for double that!

Thanks, I will as soon as I rig up a bic screwdriver. Sometimes the button will stay depressed but the orange light goes off, you think it might be the battery inside Ive heard mentioned?

Yeah, the battery is only meant for the RTC (real time clock). The one in my DC is long gone it still works fine. Just have to set the date everytime it's unplugged or the power goes out.
