Has anyone tried the chip thats for sale on E*ay to enable you to run V.4 software?. My friend had one running and he's had no problems. Had anyone had any trouble with this type of upgrade. If they work I think I'll get one. Simon
Heard they have worked. But there is more than one way the firmware checks the box. The replacement chip is a new eeprom chip. I would personally say time will tell if this method is a 100% fix.
