I was thinking of trying this and was wondering if anyone has done this before. Since my xbox 360 is bricked I was thinking of buying a brand new one from one of the major retailers and swapping it with mines to then return it. Any ideas?
ive thought of that and it would work if you could somehow switch the serial code stickers. if you do attempt this and it works tell me
it does work. ive done it allready. i think i didnt even switch the stickers, because i told them "wal-mart" that i did not have a reciept for it because my grandparents got it for my birthday, but i already had one, and i just got the 400 cash back for it.
and thats why i said it went onto my debit card. and you can turn around and say that a debit card is the same as cash, and we can sit here and have an argument about what happened and everything, but im telling you right now it happened.
ok, sorry for jumping on your case then. just last time i tried to explain that it actually work i was in like a 3 week long arguement about if it really happened or not.
so when you did the "return" they didnt check the serial numbers?.. I may try and do this, but i wanted to be sure they dont check the serials and see they dont match.. dont know what would happen then but i am sure it wouldnt be good..
i dont remember them checking the serial numbers but i dont think the stickers are that hard to pull off if you wanted to change them, just use a hair dryer, and super glue them back on or something.
this is great! i was just going to make a thread about this and he it is. so my friend was in his room, playing i forget which game, and his console catches on fire! literally sparks and ignites. so he calls up M$ and they tell him to go down to Target and tell them what happened and bring your receipt to get a new one. Apparently, you are automatically covered under a 90 day warranty from the date you purchased your 360. so he gets a brand new one and comes home. He got a new receipt too with a new date giving him a fresh new 90 days. So it got us to thinking, the kid at target more than likely wouldn't know to look for serial number or anything like that. what's to stop us from putting a toast 360 in there?! try it!
