if any of you guys want your system software name changed,i can do it for you, this is for 3.40oe-a only i havn't tested on any other firmware, the system software is were it says 3.40oe-a in settings/system settings/system infomation, i can change it to whatever you like, but it has to be no more than 9 characters long, once you have this file from me (vshctrl.prx)go to flash0 and open kn then drag the vshctrl.prx i give you into the kn folder and choose replace, and thats it your done, then go check it out. PM me your email telling me what you want it to say,and ill send it out a.s.a.p the first in will get theres sooner,if you reply within the hour of this post, you will get yours within the hour. dont forget to back up your kn folder before replacing file,(i take no responsibility for any thing that goes wrong, you do this at your own risk) iv done this over and over on many psp's and not 1 problem.
Very nice...You wouldnt happen to know which offset the MAC address text starts at would you? I want to edit the numbers to either all zeros, or drop in some random stuff..
iv tried looking for it,to hard to find,if i work it out ill let you know, have you tried changing your system software name before? do you want to do it?
This wouldnt brick ur psp.. rite..? no it wont if you do it right if you know how to put in custom xmbs and stuff you will be fine, even if you complety stuffed this up,i still dont think you would brick, but you would probley semi brick, its probley more of a risk to flash xmb's than flash this.
If you're on any CFW 3.40 OE-A and lower, then you can use this homebrew app to "spoof" your firmware version yourself easily.
ya i had 3.52 FOX-2 but now i have the new update 3.52 M33-3 it wont let me change so i will have to wait until they update the spoof editor
Yeah, I know how to do that...I am trying to change my MAC address to read zero's, but I can't find which offset it starts at in the hex editor...
