I downloaded Slayer's autoinstaller. While booted into the CD's dashboard, I deleted all the files on drive C: and then copied the MS dash from the CD. I'm now error-free and have been using Live without problems (I do not have a softmod installed right now).

If I can find time I'll run through it again and write down the exact steps. Deleting the files was kinda scary.

One issue I ran into is the Live update kept failing. I finally figured out there wasn't enough free space on E:. After I deleted everything I could live without it updated just fine.
