just bought the Sylvania system from Sears, and know absolutely nothing about the system. It was a decent price, and i guess i like Sears. I have a number of ole family videos that are in acess of 15 years old of the family, and all enjoy looking at them, and my concern is them lasting. Plan on putting them on DVD, hopeing to keep them longer. I can only hope the Sylvania will please me, and searching for opinions, and some info on doing this. All this formating, closing, and things scattered thru instruction booklet, is very confusing to me. Did not have all these things when i was younger. look foward to getting some information, thanks from Louisiana
