anyway to read pc hardrive?

    my computer is finished, theres something wrong with the power, i dont have the cash atm to fix it, but theres stuff on it i need, is there anyway to axis it through my lap top? im a noob with comps so i dont even know what a hard drive on a pc looks like :( hahah patheic..i know,

    but yea, im usin this oldschool lap top, and was wonderin if it was possible :D

    if not possible through the lap top, any other way i could retrive files WITHOUT having to fix my comp?

    1 of 2 options.

    1.You can buy a external enclosure for the 2.5 drive. *make sure you know whether the drive is SATA or IDE* visably IDE has two rows of pins, and SATA has one long strip and one short strip.

    2. You can go on newegg.com and buy a data transfer cable.


    I use this cable quite often at work but you also need a AC adapter with molex end + SATA adapter if you need it.
