hey...im wondering if there's any way u you can check if ur xbox 360 cd drive is the original one that came in the xbox 360. I have the xbox disassemlbed. My story : I bought this one off ebay and cd drive is not working.." insert a disc into 360 xonsole" problem. Sometimes it works and plays but its just frustrating. I want to buy a cd drive off ebay swap the little mother board from old one to new one so firmware confirms with the xbox. Nut if cd drive is not original and flashed the firmware might not confrim with xbox.
if you can extract the keys from that drive you can use any drive you want,,as long as the keys are good,,
if you say that it does play games sometimes than the key is good and you prob just need a pot calibration. if it doesnt play any games at all that it could be a few things. dirty lens, burned out lens, needs a pot calibration, or worse case scenario wrong key. and if thats the case than the only way to recover the key is to have an exploitable kernal and do the jtag hack.
