How can I split the contents of one original DVD in 2 sections and copy each section in to two separate DVDs?

Hi fellow newbie. You ought to check out two places.

You may first click on the 'Guides' tab above and see whether the descriptive guides are the one you are looking for. Else,

If I interpret your question correctly, you may check out this Afterdawn addict, bbmayo's site at

    http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/guides.htm

It's very clear and pictorically helpful to newbies like us. Kudos to him.

I have successfully split a dvd into 2 separate dvds without any errors using DVD Decypter and Shrink.

Thanks for your prompt response. I am now using dvd decrypter and Roxio Easy DVD Copy. I wonder if you could tell me more about this procedure. I would very much appreciated this. My burner can do Dual Layer with no problem. I just wish I could copy a big movie from one original DVD in two separte disc.
    Thanks again.

Reauthor it in dvd shrink; put half of the disc on one dvd and put the other half on another. Just keep track of which files you put on the first so you don't do the same ones over.

try using dvdfab after it is on your harddrive very easy to use and it will split the movie into two discs for you. http://www.mrbass.org/dvdfab/ after you open it click on copy main movie from dvd(strip/split) and it will ask you to choose the input folder and the output folder and thats it let it do its thing
