    how do i start making a site w/ apache?

    do you have a nilux box installed already? when you design the site then you upload to the www directory in apache. i would suggest searching for an apache configuration guide, there are a couple sites out there. Just google it.

    Wow...

    Did you just make a 1 sentence post about how to use apache?

    And if you need to make a site for a band, and you've never done it before, start w/ myspace and go from there.

    There are lots of webhosts that cost less than $15 a year for continuous, redundant, secure site hosting, which is more than you can promise hosting a site from your home computer.

    I'd be happy to help you put together a dynamic, media filled site w/ downloads and gig calendars and all that fun stuff, but it certainly wouldn't be *free*, lol.
