Alright this is gonan sound a bit funny but I ned soem help. My brother got a video card off someone, it had an APG x8 slot, loots soemthing liek this |__________| |___| Only problem was he had an old APG slot which had 3 slotsinstead of 2 |___| |___| |___| So yea it didint work... so tried it in my computer which has a PCI express slot... he thought breaking the hook of the end would mke it fit........... and it till didnt.... so ujust wondering would the graphic card still work, since there is nothing in the hook at the end of the card?
yes it will still work. the reason the 8x card didn't fit the older agp slot is because the slot is a 2x/4x which uses different voltage than the 8x card.
so long as you havent killed the card with static with all this moving around and snapping bits off it should still work
