I have an apple 21 inch studio display monitor.
Is it compatible with my P4, possilbly driver?
Does the serial port and the USB do the same thing?
    Thanx.

not all pins are used on vga connections as usually 4 pins are not connected. did the monitor show up on the pc?? is there just 1 cord besides the power coming out of the monitor because if so than possible the usb wires are in the video cable. look on the monitor surface for a 9mm x 8mm squarish connector & if so than need a male a to male b cable between the monitor & computer.

did it show up on pc ?
obviously not. afterall thats the question.however.
the monitor has both usb and vga (unremovable) cables coming from same hole at back.
have definate power and once connected mac monitor and ibm tower definately seem to communicate but still no display.
    surely this is possible.
not grasping what a b cable is. sorry but new to this type of thing.
male to male? how.? monitor cable is male (has pins)and pc display addaptors are female.(has holes) thanks.

no display than, you didn't state that when you 1st posted. the a to b cable is in reference to the usb. is the usb the same shape as on the computer? does the monitor actually work still on a mac??
