Hi there , Been encoding xvid/divx to dvd for ages now. I now got a prob that is really irritating me. I got a xvid file that is 16:9 ratio when played on pc. But everytime i encode it to .VOB files and burn them to DVD , my standalone plays it as a 4:3 AR. This happens when using WINAVI . When i use nero however it is at the right AR. I know i could keep using nero but i prefer WINAVI for the speed. I have tried setting the AR to 16:9 , put it to auto etc. But no matter what i do, it encodes to full screen. The other thing is , if i veiw the .vob file winavi has made using nero player, or realplayer it plays the file in its correct AR , but as soon as i play it on my standalone it goes to full screen. I have checked the settings on my dvd players and there o.k. So has anyone got a clue as to my problem??? thanks
