I tried encoding a Rip using DVD Decryper into an XVID using the latest AutoGK 1.96 (havent tried the beta yet) Under settings I first tried Auto, then fixed set at 640 and now Im converting at a Max of 640. No matter what I end up with an AR of 1.73 which is stretched vertically a bit too much. I encoded a 4:3 movie and that came out fine but for some reason widescreens do not. Also encoding certain movies gives me a AVIsynth open failure error. I tried going through a few different online guides and nothing has helped. Are there any other guides some of you can reccomend, I havent encoded movies in a long long time but I will be leaving shortly for a good while and wanted to rip a bunch of movies to take along with me so I dont have to risk losing or breaking my DVDs. any help would be greatly appreciated.

With mod16 resolutions the AR may be a little off.
