First off im kinda new at this so be gentle. Heres the deal, ive started making little video clips and i want to put them all together as one movie. im looking for a video editing program that will let me combine multiple video clips, edit each clip so i can just get the part i want on the video, and also if their is a way to control brightness so the different clips will look the same. ive already got sonic my dvd so i can burn it to a dvd-r. but im having alot of touble using its editing features. Is their any other editing programs i can use first to edit the clips together before i use sonic my dvd to burn them to a disc?? thanks

Well, I can't actually think of any video editing program that can not do the things that you want. MyDVD is not a video editing program but a DVD authoring program. To understand the differences between the various programs check this article:

There are lots of video editors to choose from. The simple things that you want can already been done with Microsoft MovieMaker (free included in XP) but you can also choose for more advanced (and more expensive) programs. This page lists the most well known ones:

Try VirtualDub, it can join your clips together into one movie, google around to find guides for it.

well i found virtualdubmod, its like virtualdub but better. the only thing is that im having trouble getting it to play my joined video clips?? it only plays the very first clip of the many i joined?? the same exact file plays fine on mt media player all the clips play seamlessly like one big file, why wont these editing programs recognize this??
