I'm looking at these discs and it seems like an incredibly cheap price considering how great TYG02 is supposed to be. I used to use Ritek Ridata discs, and while I've never had any problems, everyone talks about how crappy they are so I assume there is some reason for that.

If those are real TYG02 then this is a great price, right?

Staples has Fuji 8x (that code TYG02) right now for 9.94 out the door for a 30 pack.

If you pick them up at a store and don't pay shipping, they have a better deal than even Meritline.

wow, that IS cheap~ for hub printables...i have personally never had FAKE TYs from meritline..but, this is very good price for printables...i would call them to make sure, just ask them if they are AUTHENTIC TYs...just so you have some confidence before giving them your money~ :)

WAIT~ i just looked at it again...and noticed these are NOT genuine TYs...these are called "HIGH QUALITY"...NO NO NO...these are NOT authentic TYs...sorry, i read it a bit fast~ i overlooked the description of saying these are "HIGH QUALITY TAIYO YUDEN QUALITY", rather than Taiyo Yuden media...

i would not trust it, it's a marketing gimmick to list them in the same category as their GENUINE TYs...be careful~!

You're right, now that I read it more carefully I see what you mean. Thanks, I'll just go to Staples and pick up some of the Fuji DVD-Rs instead.

I bet I'm not the only person who (almost) fell for that...

As for all rebadged TYs make sure they say made in "Japan" on the container.
I've purchesd rebadged TYs from TDK and Fuji both had "Made In Japan" on them and have never had a coaster with them

yeah..locally, the "MADE IN JAPAN" on the packaging is pretty important in finding the TYs...the ones sold at the stores under the fuji/sony/etc name are definitely AUTHENTIC, IF you do in fact get the MIJ ones~ :)
