    Hi

I am from the UK (why i use ebuyer and bot newegg) and I have found these items. I wondered if they all would work well together? Also what are heat syncs? will i need to buy one or does it come with the motherboard or graphics card? (Not sure how it works). Any help much appreciated, heres the stuff:

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/132064 - Processor
    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/124733 - HDD
    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/139895 - Graphics Card
    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/140066 - Motherboard
    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/129954 - RAM
    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/135101 - Casing (with PSU)

Is there anything else i need to buy which i have missed? and if somethings wrong could you please recommend something to replace it. Thanks.

im no expert but this is what i would change.

i would get a Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200 over a Intel Pentium Dual Core E2180. The E5200 has an extra 500mhz(my no sound like much...) but it has a 2x bigger cache and its 45nm the other 1 is 65nm i.e. higher performance.

    i would get this motherboard
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/132275 it may b expensive but i think it would be worth it. its much more upgradeable.

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/135600 i think would be better than 2GB

A heat sink (or heatsink) is an environment or object that absorbs and dissipates heat from another object using thermal contact (either direct or radiant). Heat sinks are used in a wide range of applications wherever efficient heat dissipation is required; major examples include refrigeration, heat engines, cooling electronic devices and lasers wikipedia. is that what u mean by "heat sync"

    yeah u need a heat sink http://www.ebuyer.com/product/126790
u can buy some 4 like $40 but u only need them if u are goin 2 over clock and stuff if ur not this 1 here will do the job easy enough.

u may need a CD/DVD drive http://www.ebuyer.com/product/134324 this 1 will do every thing u need.

ummm yeah thats what i would change.

Thanks, thats really helpful. Im about £50 over, but what the heck. Also I came across the Shuttle Barebone PCs. Roughly £100+ for a PC casing and PSU with a motherboard fitted so you just add what you want. Does anyone know if these are any good? Will I be limited?

Ok, well i have already decided im not getting one of those. But really, overall I just need conformation that these, (i made some changes,) will work together:

I'm sure they are all fine in general, but what is important to me is they will work toegther (key word, haha).

Also, will I need to buy a sound card? Or is it built into the motherboard? If I need one, can you link a good one please. Thanks.

Ignore the motherboard above (unless its better) but I think i found one which is the same price and basically just as good but has a sound card integrated. Is it ok along with the stuff above?

All the motherbord that we have chosen other than the 1st have (according 2 ebuyer) have not supported the processor (Intel Pentium Dual Core).

The processor and motherboard have both been "Socket 775" but on the ebuyer "Intel Pentium Dual Core" have not been on the "compatible processors" list 4 the motherboard (i think it would still work but i don't want 2 risk it) any way...

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/136363 "Intel Pentium Dual Core" is not on the "compatible processors" list ether. but i looked it up on the gigabyte website and with a BIOS update the Pentium Dual Core will work

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/136363 comes with intergarated sound.(no need 4 a sound card)

    http://www.gigabyte.com.au/Products...erboard&ProductID=2665&ProductName=GA-P35-DS3 "bit of reading 4 u"

with this new motherbord I'm sure 2 say it will all work
