elliott i did not expect ye to find this thread on vista,if ye want to read or post info on vista.. this is a good place to post..... http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/13/308662
Exactly. No need for a botched abortion of an operating system when you already have perfectly good and secure ones out there.
yeah... DOWN WITH VISTA! DOWN WITH VISTA! btw... how do you pronounce it? is it like "veesta" or "vista" ( both are said phonetically - however you spell it )
okay, cool... the only reason i asked is cos i spent a bout a year calling beta "beta" instead of "beeta" - so i thought this would have been the same, so i started calling it "veesta" thats about 2-3 months wasted on calling it "veesta"... damnit!
when was beta ever called "beeta." from the perspective of someone who doesn't know of the particular case, historically that would be a case of a sheer mistake. should be said "bay-ta".
really? you have to remember that i live in scotland... and where i come from, glasgow, we don't speak like desmond in lost. got to http://www.glesga.ndo.co.uk/index.htm to understand what i mean, or http://www.glasgowsurvival.co.uk/ its quite fun living here. but seriously, its pronounced bay-ta... you sure thats not just in an american accent? 2 mins... im away to check s dictionary... okay just checked the oxford english dictionary. it says its pronounced bi:tə
i'm fairly sure that's not just an american accent, as my logic professor, a rather chatty englishman, said the word the same way i do.
Vista's a pile of DRM'd crap. Let's stick to the original thread at the link in Ireland's post to avoid redundancy.
