ARGHHH - wiped all my channels

    I have done what celtic said about factory reset but when i go to sky sports it says data is being updated but nothing still a black screen.
    Is there anything else i should be doing?

    you probably need to flash your box.i dont know what box you have as i havent seen previous posts

    I have The Box ver: 4.53e_E
    How do I flash the box?

    ~latest firmware is
    Should be showing V4.57 in System Information, that's the latest for Starview 2 The Box as regards the AU. 22 DEC 2008.

    Updating Firmw@re SV 1/2/3

    Connect your box and PC with a Null modem cable and switch on the cable box and put it on STANDBY.
    (The Starvi*w does not need to be connected to TV to update it with GTROM)

    Open GTROM Loader software make sure that you set the correct COM PORT that matches the one that is being used

    Make sure App file only is selected, then click b1n File & browse to the firmw@re where you downloaded it to on your PC.

    Run the GTROM loader by pressing Download and you will see the % progress increase then Download completed message on your PC.

    Wait until you see the DOWNLOAD COMPLETE p0p up on your PC before removing the NULL MODEM CABLE.

    The Starvi*w will then reboot

    Disconnect from PC and connect back up to the TV :)

    Thanks for all your help, haven't flashed it before just used the c*des I will give this a go :)

    if u did a factory reset u erased all channels,that is what a factory reset does,scan ur provider and emu to on.best if new firmware on box.
