Uhhhh..noo..They don't work, I checked control panel>device control, and under USB speed or somethin, they dont show up anywhere.
They don't work, becuz they're disabld in the BIOS setup screen..I enabled them, and It worked the first 3-4 times I got onto my comp, restarted it one time, and it brought up these options...said something like " Sorry for the inconvenience, but windows is not responding" or something..it made me pick " start windows normally, start with last known working configuration, safe mode, and some others.." So I chose start normally, and when The blue bar is loading at the last screen when it says windows XP, it froze, restarted, froze, froze, froze, froze..re-disabled the USB ports (legacy supports, 2.0 supports, usb mouse support, and usb onchip " and it didn't bring up the windows problem, and it didn't freeze at the windows XP thing..right be4 you log on..So I guess they're disabled for a reason or something, but I NEED them...
And I don't have my motherboard drivers..so I can't load it..and I can't find my windows XP disc..I don't know how to check my specific motherboard, to surf the net for a driver for it..So i'm screwed, and I NEED the usb's..PSP/Ipod..etc :(, NEED HELP!!..P.S I know where they are...they're on the side+back of my comp..

hit F8 when your system is starting up to go into safe mode *with network capabilities*, and download the drivers for your mobo from the manufacturer's website, and install them.
Usually, just typing in the mobo's name on the manufacturer's site would bring up the appropriate drivers.
    Otherwise, look under software downloads.

Download and run CPU-Z, that will tell you what kind of hardware you have.
There's also a way to find out in windows itself, but i'm too lazy to type that out.
Not to mention this method works even better

Belarc Advisor, it's a small program that will tell you just about everything you will need to know about your computer

Belarc is something i would advise against, unless you're ok with being spied on.
