asf to divx or smaller size to email

    i have a 11 mb asf (wma, wmv)file id like to email but its too large..
    gspot stats:
    video src type-WMV3

    audio src- WMAudioV2

    stream type and a/v interleave
    type-video/x-ms-asf

    how do i get it smaller i treid to convert it in virtual dub but it doesnt go in some micrisft property thing and i tried using the older version of vitualdub 1.3 but that didnt work?
    what can i do to shrink it down? al least under 8 mbs

    UMmm....ASF is the Most compressed Format available so it is as Small as it is going to get...If you want to e-mail it then Pack the File up into a Bunch of Small Rar or Zip files and e-mail it in Parts but becodes that you are Sh*t out of Luck...

    winzip doesnt do a self extracting split zip file.. i dont know if the rar program does.. the person on the other end, i dont think will know how to get a split winzip file and put it back together. he doesnt have rar.

    is there a video program that will just split the movie file into two pieces at my end so both pieces will play.

    Well with WinRar it will Split the File into smaller pieces and when extracted it will extract as a Single File as Long as you have all of the Rar files and the Other person doesn"t even need to have WinRar installed if you make the Rar file a SFX Archive...You will figure out how to make an SFX archive if you look through the winRar settings....Cheers
