Right now I am downloading a 100 mb asf file and when I preview it in a small screen it looks fine, but if I blow it up (full screen) it is really blocky and unclear. I wanted this file on VCD. I was wondering if when I convert it to MPEG will it improve the quality of the video when played back large for VCD? please help asap.
Actually converting the asf file to mpeg1(VCD) will decrease the video quality. This method is referred to as transcoding. VCD video quality sucks. Have you looked at SVCD format? Shoey
