    Hi,
Trying to get an answer to this for nearly a year.
I have been told by UPC that it is analogue only in Ashbourne.
Does anyone have a box working in this area?
    Cheers.

Think you are out of luck as Mgb has already told you.

Sorry, didnt mean to repost but just wanted a point of view from someone who actually lives in the area.
No disrespect to MGB but the thread was going around in circles with no definitive answer. Maybe to you the answer is clear but I am still a bit confused.
Sorry don't want to upset anyone just want a definitve answer before spending money on something that will be useless to me.
I saw a thread somewhere on here with a guy who had a solution for Ashbourne, thus this post.
Feel free to delete this if its against the rules of the site.
    Thanks Scouser.

Its not against forum rules ask away. I just concurred with Mgb's answers as there is a mixed bag in Ashbourne. Dependent on where you are, i.e. will work in some parts but not in others, due to the network set up.

Yeah but thats the problem, there seems to be only 2 setups and I asked him if there is any box available for either of these setups and still can't get an answer.
I think I will just bring down a box and test it out myself.

Why not but as he has said if you are on Ch**us analogue cable forget about it. N** MMDS is a different story and should work, although for that particular area, it may need a bit of fine tuning. Send a pm to fergusrb I am sure he got a box or two working in that area on MMDS. If I remember correctly they were digivoxs, (could be wrong though as its going back a bit).

So you see the advice Mgb has offered you is quite correct.

    Thanks.
I PM'd him and got the answer straight away and in English...
No offence to MGB but his answers were vague and a little hard to understan, the english was quite poor in some of them.
I appreciate all the time he took to try to answer the questions and accept that I confused things a little but it should not have taken so long to get an answer to what in effect were 2 problems.
I understand senior members have to look out for each other and I meant no disrespect or offence with any of my replies.
    Thank you to you both.
