    Hey,
I just made a DVD and authored it and everything. Anyways, the VOB files play fine on the computer, the aspect ratio is ok (16:9) Anyways, on my main DVD player, the aspect ratio gets messed up, the bars on the top and bottom are smaller (in width or length dno which one it is) and they aren't the same size. The picture seems to be stretched vertically. On my secondary DVD player, it plays fine, and then on my PS2 it also plays fine (aspect ratio wise) Any help would be great, couldn't find anything in the forums on this. Thanks

    Chris.

Hi chrisab, Welcome to our Club -

I'll try to help but I'm not sure what you're asking - Your DVD works fine on 3 out of 4 players so you want to do what ? Have it work on the 4th one and forget the other three ?

Question: How old is your main standalone player ? Older players were more selective in what they played.

With the cost of players now a days, if your player is a bit long in the tooth, you might want to spend the $39.00 (USD) for a new standalone :)

No, its the newest of all of them it's a DVD recorder for when i wanna record things from the TV. Also, im not new hehe, i've been a member for a long time, just had to change my username (re-register) as a result of Afterdawn not supporting AOL e mail addresses anymore. I was just wondering why the aspec ratio is weird on one of the players? i've encoded other video files the EXACT same way, same aspect ratio, same burner, same media and they played alright.

    Huuummm,

More questions now - Happens once where it hasn't happened before ?

    A multi-angled DVD ?

Have you tried a media upgrade ??

Ritek G04 OR "Branded" Verbatim ?
(Even though you've had no trouble with your media before -)

    "P"

(Wasn't it nice to be "Welcomed" anyway ??)
