I just ran into the ASPI 16 error-- no device found or
    whatever.

There's a Benq 1650 installed on here and I have had no
problems and have done nothing different.

I went to adaptec and d/l'ed the Adaptec aspi 4.7. whatevs
and ran that but still the error perists.

The error says that it is looking for a fill in Win98.

Does that mean the OS has to reinstalled or can it be gotten off
    the Win install disk.

I've been using Nero for ages and I've never come across that error. What OS are you using? So I take it that you've successfully updated your ASPI right? Worst case scenario, get Nero's CleanTool to wipe out everything (Nero) from your system. Run CCleaner to clean all Nero's junk, reinstall Nero back and see what's up.

Well, since the error said 'device not found' I figured
it might be a plugging problem.

I moved the Benq to a different channel and that took care
of the error-- until the next time I suppose.

No reinstalls were necessary. I did my next job without
    much of a hitch.
