this is the board i got http://www.asrock.com.tw/product/K7VM3.htm i hooked everything together but cant connect the on switch wires i no where they should go but its a 3 pinn and i dont have a 3 pin so i pulled the wires that are for the power and the pins so that they are seperate and have the (t) aand (-) but am not sure how to set it can spomeone giveme a hand
the power switch is 2 wires whereas the power led can be 2 or 3 pin connector so which are you actually talking about?
ok i didnt relize that there was a difference. im trying to connect the power switch but cant figure out where it goes. is there any body that can help
on page 17, system panel connector, you want the pwrbtn# & gnd pins which are side by side. those 2 are your power button pins.
i have another question re another board would you gimme your opinion?? which is best?? http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813131584 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131524 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131523R this is the one that ive been leaning to the Asus A8N-SLI but am not sure which is best
I got the mother board working but now I'm not getting audio. Do I connect any jumpers and if so where and how many? This is for external audio.
External audio as in not the PC speaker or external audio as in a PCI sound card or external audio as in a USB sound card?
the on board audio is not working, i tookit back to the retailer and the gotit to work but upon disassemblingthey removedajumper but iamnot sure where they removedit from and where it goes
i tried putting on a pci audio card and the board picks it up and installs it but i still dont get any soiund
The connectors? Well there's usually a bank of pins on the motherboard alongside the USB headers and Power switch/LED plugs. This sort of thing: Usually they're labelled but if you're not sure, your motherboard manual will tell you.
the book doesnt give us detail. it just gives the schematics and that is it that is y we are trying toi figurew out weree the pins belong
thats the wierd part windows recognizes both the on board card and the pci card that i put in but am getting no sound i no the speakers work cause ive tried them on another comp
