Hi,I i bought an ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe motherboard awile ago and I havent been able to start it up. Forst I thought it was becaus i had no CPU yet so I bought a AMD Athlon XP 1800+. The problem that im getting is when I connect everything......Power Supply,Video Card,Monitor. I get a black screen. The fan and everything powers up but the screen is blank. I know my Video Card is working too. Please help me out.
sounds like what happend to me when i got my overclocking settings wrong. but since it's a new machine, i dont know what you could do, besides trying to reset the bios, and just connect the bare minimum
how can I reset the BIOS if theres no video?.I also have no Driver CD anymore.I took out the CMOS battery for a day and still have the problem.
You say you're sure your videocard is working, but maybe your AGP slot isn't. Try borrowing an old PCI (not PCI-E) videocard and use that instead. If you have picture, the problem is probably your AGP slot. Also, you don't need to have the original driver CD. You obviously have access to a computer, so just go to ASUS's website, and download all the drivers onto a blank CD.
The card im using is PCI...not AGP. I have been having alot of trouble with the ASUS site...everything has me redirect because the sites down...for at least a month now. Could you give me a link to the address with the drivers?
try this link. disconnect all cards & ram except for videocard & 1 stick of ram. disconnect all cables to drives. reseat the ram, videocard & power cables to motherboard. http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us
When I click on the ling it says: Due to vast number of connections online, the page that you requested cannot be displayed properly. Please re-connect using any of the following URL. Sorry for the inconvenience. I tried taking everything out.....getting me very mad. No picture still or beeps. Also no voice coming from the speaker.
"Please re-connect using any of the following URL. Sorry for the inconvenience. " those 4-5 links do the same thing and give me the same message....for a month now
on ocassion but go thru a round about way. also go to the chipset manufacturers to get updated drivers
