Asus A8N-E 4 G mem installed only showing 3 in windows

    I have not been around for a while,so hi to the new and old,I still have my old rig...asus a8ne w/amd 3800+ x-2. I have just upgraded from 2g of memory to 4g. when the system is booting it shows me all 4 g but when I check in win. properties I only see 3 gigs of memory.I have updated the chipset drivers and bios,so I have no idea what to do next. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. B.W.

    normal. unless you're using x64, you will only see 3-3.5gigs.

    Thanks bud, I was starting to go nuts about this, wondering if I was still in dual channel and the works...even lost my oc settings by reseting cmos... I guess I'll have to work on that all over again!
    Should of wrote it down.
