I purchased a while back the A8N Deluxe. I was very happy with the board until the chipset fan died and fried the board. Upon further research I have found that this is a common problem with the board. I am going to send it away for RMA, but in the mean time I bought the A8N Premuim. This is a much better build board than the deluxe, my power is more stable and the over design is better and more efficent. The problem I am having is that my case (Lian-Li V2100B) requires that you mount the motherboard upside down. The chipset is getting very hot and I have read about rumors that the heatpipe technology they use cannot be put upside down. Technically I think this to be true seeing as how the fins that the heatpipe connects to are now below the chipset. Any one have experience with this before. Currently the sensor is reporting that the chip is 50C which according to ASUS is perfect operating temp...but I cant touch the chip or it WILL burn me. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

either change the case, add more case fans or replace the motherboard again but would lean to the case change if all the boards are upside down not good because of heat

Yep, the A8N chipset 4cm fan runs at 9000 rpm???? What the hell was Asus thinking?? I never gave my chipset fan a chance to fail on me so I went ahead and used the Zalman NB47J passive cooler with a 120mm fan blowing directly on the heatsink. Asus is now sending everyone new fans when you call the RMA number, these fans are almost identical except the new ones run at 5000 rpm and are diamond shaped.
