Was trying to fix a wireless Card that worked in this MB, then stopped. So, I went into BIOS and set to default. Now for some reason the system won't go into POST. The screen stays black. No video, no sound. The HD is working because the light is flashing, then stops after about a min, the boot process time. Any thoughts?

"The HD is working because the light is flashing, then stops after about a min"

That just means that the hard drive is getting power and is spinning up.

Get the manual out and find rthe CMOS reset jumper and clear the CMOS per the instructions and try again.

Make sure you didn't know a connection or RAM module loose. Otherwise, you somehow may have managed to fry your mobo.

OK, but if you put it in a system with a different MB, don't be surprised if it BSOD during boot.

Ok, took the 6800 gt out and put it in a working xp (gigabyte mb) and it won't work...took the 6800 gt vid card out of the gigabyte mb and put it in the asus mb, and it won't work..so it seems that both the vid card and mb won't work...in the asus puter.....but the 6800GT (have 2 of em in diff puters which both worked)...in the gigabyte works fine in the gigabyte mb..but not in the asus... AND..took the asus HD out and hooked it up to an vista puter..and it works, it's visible with all the files on it...so the HD is fine...switched ram around....strange...could both the asus mb and 6800gt card be bad? also, took the cmos battery out with the psu unplugged....and tried that
