Hello, I really need help with my system, it started on Monday when it starting to be messing up when I was ripping DVDs. I pressed the eject button for my DVD burner and it stocked me. I think it is because I have static on my body so yea then the computer started to acting weird it turns off then turn back on and off again then its off. I tried turn it on it goes on for like 5 second then its off. I press the button it doesn’t turn on unplug the power put it back in it turn on but it still 5 second or less on and off. So I took out the motherboard clear the cmos. Still no good then I tried to clear it for 1 days still no good. Now I went here and try asking for help….. (sorry for my english) >.< System specs: AMD x2 4600+ 2.4ghz ASUS a8n-sli Deluxe Kingston pc3200 2gb dual channel Ultra X Finity 500watts SLI ready Maxtor 200gb Sata II Nec Dvd dual layer burner
I think the word that you were looking for is shocked, not stocked. In any case, it doesn't sound good. You could try a new power supply and pray that is all that is gone.
I have tried that..... right now i am just waiting about 1 or 2 week for the static to go away hopefully..... i tried to rma it but stupid asus they dont reply..... i like emachines rma and abit its alot easier because they got chat support....
