So I am under the understanding that the ASUS gt50 comes with and gt50 antenna port, but the physical port goes to nothing. Is there a card i can install so that i can have a functioning antenna port?
A TV tuner card can be used in that location. Receives digital, analog, and cable bands depending on the model. My Alienware came with the media driver plus the antenna connection but no tuner card.
ok yeah i forgot the name of the card, second thing, can i just put any tv tuner card in there? are there ones that are laptop specific?
Any card should work if its the same pci-e socket and you have the drivers+software. I think the brand was Averymedia or something like that. There is third party software out there such as SageTV. Or you can just use Windows media center to view your channels.
well i dont think any card will work, unless im missing something. This is a laptop im talking about, as far as i know the desktop cards will not fit in here, well if they could that would be cool, could you link me to a card your talking about?
