I want to install a video card for this motherboard to get better graphics. A friend gave me an ati 9500 pro (128mb) but the asus mother board does not like it. I have the latest ati driver and catalyst control, infact all drivers and chipset are up to date. But the computer keep locking up. (graphic wise) I want a simple plug and play card with at least 128mb of video ram that will work well with this mother board. Any suggestions?
I think its bull that a person should have to delve into the system bios and try to make changes to get a card to work for each different game you play. I want a stable one card does all!
    Any suggestions?

Did you disable the onboard video?

Yes, in fact I have been using the 9250 that has 64mb of ram that uses the same driver/catalyst control panel... for about 6 months now with no problems. Maybe there is a problem with the 9500 pro, but the guy I got it from said it worked great in his computer.

Thats what it sounds like to me. Its the card not the motherboard.
