Asus P5LD2-VM WinXP Pro install .... lost ...

    Asus P5LD2-VM MB
    WD Sata II 160JS HD
    Kingston KVR533D2N4/1G RAM
    LG GSA-416BL duallayer DVD

    Bios recognize WD-1600JS > HD & HL-DT-HT > DVD.
    PQmagic drive format Fat32 - 30G primary begin / NTFS - 100G logical end
    XP pro install doesn't give me F6 option.
    XP Pro install hangs after copying files into Hard drive.
    can't find other resources to continue install.
    Please assist.

    BTW, HD on slot Sata1.

    has to give you f6 option which appears across the bottom of the screen when xp loads as you need to load the sata drivers so windows can load onto the hd.

    thanks ... I'll try again ...
    what's the best way to prepare for dual boot. I would like in the future to put in Linux partion .. dual boot to XP & linux in the furture ... for experiment, study & web server. thx again

    for dual boot than need 2 partitions for linux & windows
