ive been looking at the Athlon 64s on http://www.eclipsecomputers.com they have 2 different athlon 64 3500s (OEM version) on offer one has the 2000MHz FSB the other has 800MHz FSB but the one with the 800FSB is more expensive is the 800 FSB version better than the 2000 FSB or is this just a classic example of rediculous pricing methods
The 3500+ has 3 different cores, Winchester, Newcastle and Venice. Venice is the better and probably the more expensive. Here's a few benchmarks http://www23.tomshardware.com/cpu.html?modelx=33&model1=246&model2=250&chart=68 adjst to however you want. Eclipse Computers are pretty goofy anyway when it comes to advertising the product, for a few quid more you can get a 3700+ for £144 OEM at www.lowestonweb.com
have a look at this http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/products.aspx?cat=0&subcat=226&brand=7 its the AMD Athlon64 3500+ Socket 939 (Venice) CPU -oem- on the right i think sypher is on about which is cheeper then the other one lol
Well then the answer's simple- Ridiculous pricing methods. edit-- WTF correct me if I'm wrong but when the hell has there ever been a Clawhammer 64 3500+ :S
