ATI help please!

    Hello,

    I'm trying to get my xbox 360 hooked up to my pc via my ATI 3870HD card using the avivo and the s-vid that goes in to the red,blue and green hed cables in the xbox it now all pluged in but i have no clue what to do next a little help would be great

    er..the HD3870 only has output.
    it does not take in feed it only gives out feed.

    what is it your tying to do exactly.

    lol trying to save money on a tv-card or tv lol i hear that card has some sort of built in tv card?

    thats false. it does not have any input capabilities. only the All in Wonder series cards had that functionality.

    Graphics cards don't tend to have VIVO any more. A pain, but that's just how it is. Too much extra expense that hardly anybody used. I never did.
    Just hook your 360 up to your PC monitor using the VGA cable you can buy for like $10.
    Add to this, using something like VIVO would have added input lag that would make most game unplayable.

    Plus, VIVO looked like crap.

    i do have the vga cable some where but the xbox does not surport my res as it 1680x1050

    Well VIVO wouldn't support it either, so I'm not sure what you'd be trying to achieve... VGA is far more adaptable than Component.
