Trying to get 1080p through my friends on board HDMI. It has 780g, HD 3200 built in. I thought it would be strong enough to support 1080p, but video looks pixeled through VLC with HDMI to HDMI connection. Could it be the HDMI cable? could it be the drivers? or not strong enough on board graphics? if its not strong enough what is min. requirement for full 1080p? thanks
Video card should be fine. Are you sure that your source material is good quality? Maybe it's pixelated because the video you are playing is not of the highest quality? And just to be sure....you did change the resolution on the computer to 1920x1080... right?
Yes I changed the resolution. It was one of my 720p files, since my projector is only 720p. I'll try a 1080p. I still didnt think it should have looked as bad as it did.
Well if you already know the quality of the file, then that should be enough. Definitely check to make sure all drivers are current. It certainly could be the cable, but I think that's unlikely. Easy enough to check, though. It could be system specs like you say, but if it has an HDMI port, I would guess it'd be good. Try openening task manager and checking cpu usage.
Dont know when I'll be able to go to my friends. He works nights, I work days. He's more of a noob than me, so I cant tell him over the phone. Thanks for your help. I'll see what happens when I have a chance.
