Different ATM machines allow you to take out different amounts When it is your money, you should be able to take out any amount. What i'm really reffering to are the smaller figures I'm not allways flush for cash, but i do have all my earnings go into my bank account As a result, they have a choise to limit how much i take out? Sometimes i only need 5 euro, sometimes i only need ten But i can't take out 5 or 10 euros from any ATM And often they wonn't even give me 20 euros, i have to take out at least 50. Some if i didn't have 50 euros in my accout i am screwed.. is that fair trade? Depending where you live determins how much you're allowed to take out. A lot of people don't have a lot of money, i know this is a way for banks to assure themself that customers can't clean them out. But it's your money and i don't see why they are allowed to limit you. Some days i can take out 20's and others i have to take out 50's from the same ATM What do you think?
There are are a few variables in play 1. The daily amount that YOUR bank allows you to withdraw on a daily basis. This can be changed with your bank up to their absolute daily maximum. 2. The amount that the interchange (if not your home bank) or the ATM itself (physical limitation) allows in one transaction. 3. The physical design of the ATM (there is only so much hopper space in the ATM, so loading it up with the smallest denomination oof bill wouldn't be practical. For instance, with my bank, I can take up to $1000.00 USD per day via ATM. However, I know that ATM machines that only dispense $20 USD bills (most ATMs in the US are that way except ones at casinos which dispense $100 bills) cannot dispense more than $400.00 or $500.00 USD in one transaction due to the size of the output hopper. The stated requirement is that one or more transactions may be required to reach the daily limit. I know that your post was mainly a vent. I am posting an FYI to your vent.
over here in australia you can take up to $400 out on some ATMs and up to $1000 on other ATMs.they depense only $20&$50 notes.if you want to take out less than $20 you can usually swipe your card at a supermarket checkout eftpos and get a smaller amount. The main thing that pisses me of about ATMs is if its not your own banks ATM you get a fee of $1.00-$3.00 for using the ATM and them you get charged a foreign ATM fee from your bank for using that ATM.personally if I could live without a bank account i would but its impossible.
Yea i often get you have insuficent funds at my bank'satm But if i use another bank's atm i get the money, weird
