I have recently been attacked by a Trojan virus. I downloaded AVG 8.0 and that seemed to keep things from getting worse, but my background is still blue... when I right click and go to properties I no longer have the tab to change it. Also, when I ctrl-alt-delete, a message pops up that tells me that task manager has been disabled by my admin. Any advice to fix this?

    Hi Shovelfac

Please download the following two tools: Remove Restrictions Tool (RRT) and Restore Desktop and Screensaver Tab

Using RRT, reenable anything that might have been disabled by the trojan.

Run the "Restore Desktop and Screensaver Tab" fix, which will appear as a .reg file. Say yes to the prompts that might follow.

Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

    Best Regards :D

Thanks much! The first part worked like a charm... but I had to change the values in my windows registry manually to get the screen saver and background going, either way, awesome tip.
