Attempts to put music on a friends ipod results in it wiping itself plus iTunes freezes my PC

    i am trying to put music on a friends ipod, i can manage to get so much music on & it decides to wipe itself saying no music, but if i plug into my pc the properties say there is x amount of used space but there is no music on it & if i start itunes it just freezes my pc so all i can do is restore the ipod & try again but still get the same. anyone any ideas

    Yes, do a search for mp3 and m4a files. Make sure the search looks for hidden files in hidden folders. Once you find them BACK THEM UP! Then I would uninstal itunes make sure everything gets deleted. Then reinstall. You might want to google and try Media Monkey first. It is a more complicated and powerful audio manager than itunes. It doesn't care what you do with your music. If it is too much, reinstall itunes then load your music. itunes will punish you if you are foolish enough to do anything they don't want you to do. I bet the ipod that was used in the copy is dead .
