    No partying, a lot of caffeine, and all nighters. Been there done it, and it can wear you out. Good luck ;)

    Yup, no partying, no social life, a ton of all nighters, no sleep, and constant rejection by the fairer sex. That sums up my college experience lol.

    I had the time of my life in college, spent more time in the student union than class though and it only took me 5 years to get a 4 year degree...LOL

    Well I was on the 12 pack a day tuition plan, that didn't work out well. I quit drinking three years ago, now it's all about studying, late nights, and of course PS2 modding lol.

    i think i got my answer somewhere in this thread , but i still gotta ask to be sure . when i run nero cd dvd speed to check the quality of a disc do i set the speed to scan the same number as i burned the actual movie . for example i burned the fog at 8x speed on my benq 1655 . when i run nerocdvdspeed do i scan the quality at 8x also . this is probaly a dumb question , but i am a noob . thanx

    I've always scanned with a BenQ at 8x and with a Lite-On at 4X. It shouldn't matter which speed you burned the disc at. BenQ drives (mine at least) scan well at 8x. My Lite-On will show more errors at 8X, so I generally scan at 4X with it.

    @frankvega

    I don't have the BenQ (maybe my next burner), so I can't comment on that part. However, I do have the Toshiba and SONY DRU 710A (a rebadged SOHW 1633S) and I've always scanned at the speed that I burned them with. And Yes... I get better results when scanning them at the actual burning speed. Maybe it's just my drive only, other members may have different preferences.

    ok, I'm learning it makes a big difference what media I burn with - while I'm waiting for some good disks to come in the mail, I've been trying to go back and look at some of the crap I've burned.

    I've got a real obvious question - I just downloaded Nero CD DVD Speed to take a look at my coasters, but on the Disk Quality Tab, I can't use the Start button - What gives? Am I missing something incredibly easy here. All of the other tabs, like the Benchmark and Scandisk work, but not the Disk Quality Tab.

    @grim69

    Yeah, like cyprusrom said maybe your burner is not supported. Out of curiosity, what kind of burner (brand/model) do you have?
