What i have: DLP rear projection high def. tv High Def. set top box LG dvd recorder 5.1 ch. amp I have the LG dvd recorder connected up to my amp, with firstly an Optical cable. Found that ONLY when playing back dvd's and having amp play back the audio the sound volume dropped in and out consistantly. If the dvd sound was low in certain scenes the audio would jump up and down in volume, with a clicking noise sometimes. If i listened to the dvd via the TV speakers it was fine. I have 5 speakers and 1 sub hooked up, and sound great when there is a load action scene in a dvd, but the problem arises when a scene goes to a lower volume. I now have an Optical and Coaxial cable connected, but did not fix the problem. The dvd is connected to the TV via component leads. Is this a dvd recoreder problem? An Audio Lead problem? Or speaker connection problem? Has anyone had a similar problem? How can i narrow down the cause to rectify it? Any help much appreciated. Corey....
A guy at another site was having the same kind of problem. He solved his by getting a disc, from the company that made his dvd player, with a firmware upgrade on it. Check with LG for a firmware upgrade. Good luck!
